Prairie update 2025

After 15 years of burning or mowing every spring, the Prairie Committee decided to forgo a spring mowing of our 20+ acres of prairies. Instead, we will be performing a fall targeted mowing with a smaller burn event. We believe this will allow us to control late summer and fall species that have become dominant. In the future, we’ll be alternating our burn/mow schedule.
